Computer-aided restorations (CEREC)
With CEREC we make high-quality ceramic restorations right here in our practice, in a single visit. The conventional impression, the temporary and the second appointment are no longer needed.
In briefCEREC is a computer-aided procedure with which we make ceramic inlays, partial crowns and crowns in a single visit directly in the practice: digital scan instead of impression, design on screen, milling from a ceramic block and fitting on the same day. No second appointment and no temporary.

All prices are non-binding guide values (German dental fee schedule GOZ, as of 2026) and depend on your individual findings. Your personal treatment and cost plan, which you receive before any major treatment, is binding.
How CEREC works
- Digital impression: instead of impression material, the prepared tooth is scanned with a small camera.
- Design on screen: the restoration is planned to fit your neighbouring teeth and your bite precisely.
- Made in the practice: a milling unit cuts the inlay, onlay or crown from a ceramic block in the matching tooth shade.
- Fitting: in the same session the ceramic is fitted, bonded adhesively and polished.

Allow about one to two hours, including preparation, scan, milling and fitting.
How long does a ceramic restoration last?
All-ceramic is very durable. With good care and regular check-ups, CEREC restorations last for many years.
Does health insurance cover the cost?
German statutory insurers contribute a fixed subsidy or the amount of the standard treatment. We tell you your share in advance in the cost estimate.
